I feel like Bart Graft is one of the most underrated artists on the synthwave scene. This is yet another masterpiece of cheerful, guitar laden retro 80s from one of my favorites. Bart Graft always brightens my day.

Absinth3 sticks to warmth, even when covering something like horror icon Christine. The EP is sympathetic to Arnie and makes more sense if you imagine Christine as a human being involved in teenage melodrama instead of a car. "Knowing Your Friends" is as dark as things get, a stroller that has an uptempo shift toward the end. "Hooked On Love" is a slower, lovely tune with an air of bittersweet romance. I love the sound of "Redemption" but it tends to wear over its four-and-a-half minute length.

Sigh, Betamaxx. I found some of your music when I initially started listening to any music related to Retro New Wave, Regrettably I did not listen to your whole discography. Betamaxx stands out to me because his tracks are very hyperactive, but without a violent or dark tone. So far pretty much the only artist in the genre or sub genres that can pull that element off. and thats what makes him/her a favorite to me.
